Haut Batailley combines 72% Cabernet Sauvignon and 28% Merlot, aged in 60% new oak. Harvested from September 21 to October 2, it surpasses the 2015 Lacoste Borie with richer fruit presence: blackberry, boysenberry, tobacco, and cedar notes. The wine gains complexity in the glass, revealing a delicate mint nuance. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with smooth, elegant tannins, perfectly balanced despite a slight initial sharpness that will soften with bottle aging. The subtle pencil shaving on the finish adds character. With excellent structure and length, this classic Pauillac promises 25 to 30 years of enjoyment.
