This Saint Estephe Bordeaux red showcases a full-bodied, velvety character accompanied by a youthful deep purple hue. Aromas of black plum, crème de cassis, vanilla, toast, mocha, clove, forest floor, and licorice elegantly rise from the glass. On the palate, it opens boldly with ripe black cherry and currant flavors, enriched by notes of toast, crème caramel, and exotic spices that persist through a long finish. The tannins are soft and smooth for a wine from St.-Estèphe. Offering exceptional value, it is approachable now yet promises graceful development in the cellar.
With a deep garnet-purple color, the 2019 Serilhan bursts from the glass with notes of ripe blackcurrants, boysenberries, black raspberries and cedar chest plus nuances of red roses, pencil lead and camphor. The medium-bodied palate shimmers with energy, featuring tons of crunchy black fruit and a finely grained texture, lifted by fantastic tension, finishing long and perfumed. Impressive!
