The Gargantini family of Mendoza, once among Argentina's largest wine producers, experienced a downturn until the late 1980s when they revitalized vineyards left unused for decades. This renewal granted Clos de Chacras access to vines with fruit aged 80 years, evident in the wine’s remarkable character. Their introductory Malbec captivates with intense aromatics combining floral and vanilla nuances, perfectly balancing sweet and tart fruit flavors. A six-month maturation in third-use barrels gently refines the wine, preserving the vibrant fruit essence.
