Herzog Rutherford Special Edition Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 (Mevushal) is a premium kosher red wine sourced from the renowned Rutherford District of Napa Valley. Made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes cultivated in the famed “Rutherford dust” soils, it offers a firm and rich flavor profile. The wine presents deep notes of black currant and cherry preserve, layered with subtle hints of caramel and cocoa powder. Its tannins are supple yet structured, providing a balanced backbone and a sustained, polished finish. At approximately 15% ABV, it’s best paired with grilled red meats or hearty vegetarian dishes, and offers both depth and elegance in a limited-edition bottle.

A noble variety bestowed with both power and concentration, Cabernet Sauvignon enjoys success all over the globe, its best examples showing potential to age beautifully for decades. Cabernet Sauvignon flourishes in Bordeaux's Medoc where it is often blended with Merlot and smaller amounts of some combination of Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot. In the Napa Valley, ‘Cab’ is responsible for some of the world’s most prestigious, age-worthy and sought-after “cult” wines. Somm Secret—DNA profiling in 1997 revealed that Cabernet Sauvignon was born from a spontaneous crossing of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc in 17th century southwest France.
