La Chapelle de Haut-Bages Libéral 2018 is the second wine from Château Haut-Bages Libéral, located in the Pauillac appellation of Bordeaux. This vintage is a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged for 12 months in a combination of new oak barrels and ovoid tanks. The wine presents a deep ruby color with purple reflections, indicating its youth and potential for aging. On the nose, it offers aromas of black cherry, cassis, orange zest, and red berries, with subtle hints of cranberry. The palate is medium-bodied with juicy dark berry flavors, vivid tannins, and a savory, salty-mineral finish, reflecting the classic characteristics of Pauillac terroir.
