Turley's Old Vines blend draws from a carefully curated selection of California vineyard parcels—some too modest for individual designation, others newly acquired and being integrated into Turley's exacting farming philosophy. Sourced across seven regions including Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino, Lodi, Contra Costa, Amador, and Paso Robles, these 18 vineyard sites feature vines averaging 80 years in age, lending depth and complexity to this distinctive expression of California's winemaking heritage.
This Zinfandel Old Vines has a medium ruby color and plush red and black cherries on the nose with accents of mushrooms, forest floor, savory spices and mint. The full-bodied palate is grainy and refreshing with generous berry fruit and a long, spicy finish. It's similar to the Juvenile with a bit more oomph, and it's just as easy to drink.
Bold and jammy but balanced, with blackberry cobbler, licorice and savory pepper flavors building tension toward briary tannins.
