Zion Winery, owned by the Shor family—Israel’s pioneering wine family with over 170 years of heritage—was established in 1848 in Jerusalem’s Old City. Renamed Zion Winery to reflect its deep ties to Jerusalem, it relocated in the 1980s to Mishor Adumim near the city. Under the late Moshe Shor’s leadership, the winery modernized with advanced technology and became Israel’s sixth largest. Today, winemaker Zvika Shor upholds the family legacy, overseeing vineyards across diverse Israeli regions from Ramat Arad in the northern Negev to the Golan Heights, with expert viticulture guidance from consultant Pini Sarig throughout the growing season.
